HYLAMIDE GLOW BOOSTER SERUM

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm a bit of a skincare junkie at the moment and I couldn't resist picking up this serum (seen on A Model Recommend's videos) aimed at providing a glowy radiance to the skin. As I also mentioned, I've not been wearing particularly heavy foundation, if any, recently, preferring to just dab on some concealer where needed and topping off with a light dusting of powder. My skin has been really clear recently (touch wood it stays that way) and so I like to embrace this when I can and let my skin breathe, but anything that will add a glow and I'm all ears!

When I saw this product in a YouTube vid I added it to my ever-growing list of things I want to buy and when I saw it on offer in Boots for £15 instead of £20 I saw this as a sign and went for it (it's still on offer here if you're interested!). Promising to target dullness, uneven skin tone and lacklustre skin (sounds a lot like the same as dullness to me, but hey, the more things it says it'll do the better for a marketeer isn't it!) this is a very lightweight serum that you use in conjunction with your current skincare routine. It says you can use it AM and PM, slotting it in between my Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic and my moisturiser of choice. I often like to use an oil at nighttime, however don't do this when I'm using this serum because I'm not sure how they'd work together (any info on this would be much appreciated).

So, what are my thoughts on this product? Well, I think it's great! I was aware that this was going to be a subtle product, not providing the look of a fake-tanned face (not that there's anything wrong with that), making it pretty much foolproof to use (you don't end up with a really dark face and normal body), but it really does impart a gorgeous glow to the skin. When I have days at home just working on the blog and some other projects I've got going on, I don't usually wear makeup and honestly, when I apply this in the morning and leave my face bare, within a couple of hours when I look in the mirror I will look so healthy! It gives a hint of colour but just also seems to make my skin look really smooth and, well, glowy. It says it can take 2-3 days to notice the "natural golden tone" so if you don't notice a difference immediately make sure to persevere.

I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a little boost to your skincare regime, I don't think it's an essential by any means but if you're looking to add a boost of radiance with a natural sunkissed glow, this one might be right up your street.
