A POEM A DAY IN MAY

As part of my path towards a more motivated mentality I'm making a concerted effort to make steps each day that will inspire me and encourage creativity, so one of the things I'm going to incorporate into my routine in May is to read a poem every day. As I mentioned in a previous post, my review of Poems For Life, poetry is something I'm trying to delve into more, who knows I may end up realising it's not really for me or end up loving it and finding some treasures!
I purchased 'The Door' by Margaret Atwood which was one of the books on my May TBR and I already own 'Poems for Life' but I really need to pick up a few more poetry collections in order for this to be successful! Of course there's nothing wrong with reading lots of poems from the same collection, but one of the objectives of this for me is to try reading a range of different poetry styles and broaden my poetry horizons. I'm going to do a weekly roundup here on the blog and will share some of my favourites that I've read that week and I'll also share some over on my Instagram with #poemadayformay. I may also share some that I've not necessarily read in poetry books, but poems I've seen online (Instagram mainly let's be real) because there are so many amazing poets sharing their work online now that it would be a shame not to. If you know of any amazing poets I should put to the top of my list let me know!
