BEAUTIFUL FAVOURITES

Every Autumn I make Nick go on a conker walk with me because I'm five years old and this year was no different. It has become a bit of a tradition now which I love, we go out when it starts to get colder and darker in the evenings and find the biggest and shiniest conkers to bring home and put around the house in various jars and dishes, it just adds a lovely Autumnal touch and they look so cute displayed with some nice candles and maybe the odd miniature pumpkin!

The chillies that Nick planted at the beginning of Summer have been ripening for the last month or so, we have enough to last through the whole winter and we both love food with a kick to it so using these homegrown beauties will be lovely. Nick's already made hot chilli sauce with a batch of them and we'll probably dry and crush some to make the most of what we have.

Like I said, conkers. Every year I seem to gather them up, along with pine cones and maybe some fallen leaves and create a little Autumn scene somewhere in the house. This year I bought a couple of miniature pumpkins from our local supermarket to use as well and of course have a pumpkin spice candle finishing it off and adding the super basic final touch. Honestly, if you're looking to inject some autumnal vibes into your home get outside and pick up some bits, lob some conkers in a bowl and bob's your uncle, you have an Autumn display.

My cats are always a favourite, I'm not ashamed to admit it. They are just the cutest things in the world, if you ask me. This is Berg, the smaller and shyer of the two, coming up on the sofa for a bit of attention. She has gained in confidence so much this year and doesn't run out the room every time Nick comes in now, which is an improvement! She is such a sweetheart, always wanting attention as long as she feels safe, she'll just keep head-butting your hand to make you stroke her until she's done.
